Overview

The ZeniMax Media Inc. Global Infrastructure Team is seeking an Infrastructure Administrator to join the team and be based in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Your primary responsibilities will include the design, support, maintenance, and optimization for all facets of the physical infrastructure at one of our most critical sites. In this role, you'll have an opportunity to influence and contribute in many areas - from network cabling, power distribution, rack organization, and cooling all the way to server system design, operating system optimization, and everything in between.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Infrastructure/System Administration
  • Good understanding of best practice in Data Center operations and support
  • Great knowledge of enterprise class storage and compute systems – Dell, HP, NetApp, etc
  • Good general knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Redhat)
  • General Windows infrastructure administration including Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, 2012R2, and 2016
  • Network fundamentals, understanding of DNS, DHCP, VLANs
  • Able to lift 60 pounds (monitors, computers, printers, servers, boxes), crouch beneath desks, and work on ladders (for wireless system maintenance, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting methodology
  • Available to work off-hours to perform maintenance or in case of emergencies
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team to support a global organization on incidents, support requests, projects, and other initiatives
  • Ability to excel in a time sensitive, fast paced, 24/7 environment
  • Consider best security practices throughout all aspects of the infrastructure
  • Learn from and educate your fellow team members

Responsibilities

  • Design, monitor, maintain, and support all physical infrastructure for server room(s) and IDF’s at the Hunt Valley, Maryland site in conjunction with the facilities team
  • Design, monitor, maintain, and support the storage and server systems up to and including the OS level
  • Work with both your peers in IT, and your DEV team customers to deliver the optimum hardware configuration for a given set of requirements
  • Physical capacity planning for power, space, and cooling
  • Capacity planning for both physical and virtual workloads
  • Systems (driver, firmware, etc) lifecycle management
  • Triage and support escalation for the local desktop team
  • Systems and OS deployment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery principles
  • Experience working in a multi-tenant environment
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware
  • Familiar with ITIL practices and procedures
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Any relevant certifications
