Level Designer (World of Tanks Blitz)

About the Employer

Wargaming is looking to hire a Level Designer to work on World of Tanks Blitz creating new maps for the hit online mobile action game.

Our ideal candidate is as passionate about competitive shooters as we are, enjoys playing games, wants to make real contribution to World of Tanks Blitz and make this game even better!

Wargaming is a great international team reaching beyond boundaries! We’re interested in talented people from across the globe that is why we are quite flexible with regard to different locations: the core team is based in Minsk, permanent employment in Moscow or Berlin is also possible, and you can join our distributed team remotely from your location.

What will you do?
  • Design maps for the game, from prototyping to finalizing them in a game editor

  • Conduct map playtests and work with feedback

  • Create gameplay documents for maps

  • Gather and analyze statistics on the released maps

  • Collaborate efficiently with artists

What are we looking for?
  • 1+ years’ experience working as Level/Game Designer in the game industry

  • Understanding of competitive gaming principles backed by diverse gaming experience

  • Decent Photoshop skills, knowledge of any 3D-modeling tool

  • Real experience with map editors

  • Strong desire to learn and grow professionally

  • Good communication skills and social intelligence

What additional skills will help you stand out?
  • Portfolio demonstrating your skills in game levels building

  • At least 1 released game

  • Experience with Unreal Engine or Unity

  • Knowledge of World Machine (Gaea, Substance Designer)

  • Gaming experience with Wargaming titles
