Technical Product Specialist, Version Control & DevOps

About the Employer

As a Version Control Systems Solutions Technical Product Specialist you will be a technical leader within our Create Sales Organization working with our most important customers. Working with Unity’s Solutions Sales, and Sales Teams, you will lead the technical positioning, proposal, product demonstration, and assistance during all pre-sales activities to advance the sales process and achieve/exceed quarterly revenues for the Version Control System Solution. You will need to support customers to remove technical roadblocks to adopt, deploy Plastic SCM and drive customer satisfaction going forward through the entire customer lifecycle.

40% of your time will be spent with customers identifying and surfacing new engagements that align with the customer’s business strategy. You will work together with Unity’s solutions sales, sales force, and professional services teams, partners, as well as use Unity’s core products, targeted account lists to identify and engage prioritized customers. You will be required to be disciplined in business-management, adaptable to a culture of accountability and build a strong and active technical network.

40% of your time will be spent on being the key technical leader, trusted advisor and influencer in shaping customer decisions to buy and adopt Unity Version Control and DevOps solutions. You will own winning the technical decision at customers for sales opportunities and usage scenarios, through tailoring your message, bringing ideas to customers, engaging with them to show our technology differentiation, and guiding them in decision making. You will lead technical presentations and solution demonstrations to explain and prove to our customers the capabilities of Unity’s Version Control and DevOps Solutions, and how we can make their businesses more successful.

Qualifications:

Professional

  • Experience. 5-7 years’ experience delivering or selling technical solutions to medium/large customers with a focus on Version Control Systems and development pipelines, specially in gaming, VR/AR/MR or real-time 3D customers.
  • Problem Solver. Ability to solve customer’s development workflow and pipeline’s problems through Version Control & DevOps technologies (Project Management, Issue tracking, Continue Integration, Testing)

Technical

  • Version Control Systems: Deep understanding of the main version control system technologies in the market (Plastic SCM, Git-based systems, SVN and Perforce), DevOps complementing solutions, and best practice development workflows. The position requires the ability to articulate and demonstrate the technical features and value of Unity’s solutions on these domains, and have a firm understanding of Unity’s strategies and products relative to major Unity’s competitors preferred.
  • Leadership: Experience in leading or managing large Version Control 6 DevOps deployments projects especially in Gaming, VR/AR/MR or 3D on vertical markets.
