Job Description

Copywriter with a passion for language, strong conceptual thinking and integrated communications. This effective and creative writer will work across all mediums and platforms – social, web, video, print, etc. – in short and long formats to help interpret Magic Leap’s voice by helping to own tone-of-voice.

Responsibilities

  • Interpreting the Magic Leap voice by helping to own tone-of-voice across multiple touch-points including, website landing pages, blog, email, direct mail, and social
  • Ideating copy that connects our augmented reality offering to the media in new and innovative ways
  • Brainstorm, write, execute and iterate new concepts that continue to power our growth alongside our other creatives
  • Perform as a key member of the marketing and communications team to craft content that will propel consumer and enterprise adoption of new technologies
  • Write original persuasive copy that engages, shifts behavior and drives action
  • Develop a broad range of concepts and solutions that are compelling, unique and memorable
  • Ability to understand and write effectively for a wide range of industries from healthcare, consumer products, telecommunications, sports, travel and entertainment
  • Concept integrated ideas and bring them to life
  • Translate creative ideas into compelling copy
  • Proofreading and editing
  • Strategically collaborate with art directors, social media teams, media other marketers
  • Work with managers to fine tune message platforms that align strategy and brand guidelines
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of copywriting or journalism experience
  • Experience writing for or about fast-growing startups or technology
  • Experience writing for a single brand across many different customer touchpoints
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships with team members and partners
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a self-starter
  • Excellent written English skills
  • Good understanding of our products and brand
  • Ability to work independently

Education

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Communications or related field
