Jam City is seeking a UI Developer to join our LA game studio in Culver City to streamline our Genies and Gems experience! We are looking for people who want to satisfy our players' excitement for new experiences within this gem-azing matching game.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring new UI art assets come to life within the game.
  • Delivering new UI features and components for our C++ game engine and Qt-based editor.
  • Collaborating closely with UX, game designers, artists, and engineers to deliver consistently improved experiences to our players.
  • Ensure UI usability across our supported browsers and mobile devices (iOS, Android & Amazon).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of development experience in C++
  • Experience creating UI, animations and texture atlases for mobile and/or web applications.
  • Understanding of UI wireframes, user flows, prototypes.
  • Skilled in delivering clean and clear user experience & reusable frameworks for artists.
  • An understanding of asset pipeline and best practices for 2D mobile games.
  • Familiarity with Agile work environments.
  • Knowledge of Git & GitHub.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Python scripting.
  • Experience with Texture Packer atlas creation and optimization.
  • Experience with Qt Creator and Qt packages.
