UI Art Intern (Spring 2021)

About the Employer
Jam City is looking for a talented and creative UI Art intern to partner directly with our San Francisco game development studio for the Spring of 2021. This internship will involve working with game teams to design and deliver beautiful and engaging player experiences for some of our most popular mobile game titles including Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery, Panda Pop, and Vineyard Valley. Bring your passion for mobile gaming, beautiful UI design, and come be a part of our team. Our Spring 2021 internship program will be entirely remote.

** To be considered, applicants must provide us with either a link to an online portfolio, website, or a pdf showcasing recent artwork upon application. An art test will be required.**

Internship Program Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate university program in the U.S. during the Spring 2021 semester and able to intern remotely through April 2021.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US on a part-time basis during the Spring 2021 semester. Visa sponsorship is not available for our internship positions.
  • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 20 hours per week)
  • Deadline to apply for our Spring 2021 program is December 1, 2020


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, concept art, game design, and engineering.
  • Work with the UI/UX team to define, design, and implement fun and innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience of one of our most popular titles.
  • Take low fidelity wireframes and convert them into high fidelity mockups.


  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate college program in the U.S. during the Spring 2021 semester (February 1 - April 9)
  • Be able to work on a part-time basis (up to 20 hours per week)
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD.
  • Must demonstrate a strong understanding of advanced graphic design principles while still adhering to the game's overall style guide.
  • Possess good organizational skills and effective time management skills.
  • Must be able to give and receive feedback gracefully.
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technology.


  • Experience with building UI in the Unity game engine.
  • Knowledge of motion design principles.
About Jam City’s Internship Program:

Jam City’s Spring 2021 Digital Internship Program will take place from February 1 - April 9, 2021 and will be entirely remote. Students can expect a paid, part-time (10 - 20 hours per week) internship working alongside Jam City’s business and studio development teams. Within internships, students gain valuable insights into our products, players, and industry. Our program allows students to work on impactful projects, collaborate with industry professionals, and develop problem solving skills through real hands on experiences.
