RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Play a central role in strategy development and execution including brand visibility initiatives that position Jam City as a leader in mobile entertainment
  • Oversee external and internal communications for marquee game titles for launches and in-game events
  • Draft materials including press releases, pitches, fact sheets, messaging documents and talking points with a strong attention to detail and a highly sophisticated writing style
  • Work cross functionally to develop and execute corporate social media plans
  • Develop and nurture press relationships, and proactively engage with media across trade, business and consumer-facing publications
  • Play a central role in both external and internal communications, drafting strong messages and comms plans
  • Partner with departments and stakeholders across the company to craft new storylines and tell key differentiating stories for each practice area
  • Liaise with games teams, corporate strategy, M&A, senior executives, and key stakeholders to bring projects to life
  • Foster and manage key events, interviews and speaking opportunities, and awards submissions, developing a cohesive and consistent public voice
  • Analyze and communicate campaign successes utilizing industry KPIs.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years industry experience with an emphasis on gaming and corporate communications
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing communications strategies and plans
  • Significant experience in media relations, including spokesperson training
  • Strong media contacts amongst gaming, business, entertainment and tech press
  • Strong leadership presence; the ability work with senior leadership and generate support for his/her vision from subordinates, peers and superiors
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A deep understanding of traditional media, and gaming press
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle numerous projects and deadlines within an extremely fast paced and high-volume environment
  • Ability to create a strong narrative and tell a good story
  • Strong presentation and visual skills
  • Creative idea generator, who is committed to excellence, builds strong relationships, is passionate, hardworking and humble
