Overview

id Software is looking for an Operations Assistant to join the award-winning AAA game studio with day-to-day facilities, operations, and safety needs. This position would bridge the gap between different departments of id Software, assisting various disciplines within the studio. The ideal candidate would be customer service minded, detail oriented, resourceful, and comfortable liaising with HR, IT, vendors, and employees within the internal departments.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of, and experience with, common scheduling programs and the suite of Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-motivated team player with very strong work ethic and an open-minded, cooperative attitude

Responsibilities

Facilities:

  • Take ownership and responsibility for maintaining overall appearance and condition of the studio and employee amenities
  • Inventory, and manage all the office furniture including chairs, desks, desk pieces, lamps, etc. throughout the studio
  • Organize storage rooms and off-site storage facilities
  • Assist with entering and monitoring PR requests for end users
  • Partner with HR on ergonomic requests
  • Coordinate with HR/IT on end-user installations

Operations:

  • Back Up the receptionist to insure full coverage of the reception desk
  • Manage floor/seating chart and contacts page for studio
  • Partner with HR, IT, and Managers on new hire requests
  • Create and monitor all badges for all users
  • Manage the studio game and book library
  • Manage employee game orders and distribution of game releases
  • Assist with monthly studio events
  • Assist studio leaders with receipts and expense reports

Safety/Security:

  • Regularly update Emergency Contact Lists, Emergency Zones, and Emergency Kits
  • Assist with building safety presentations and onsite trainings
  • Coordinate with Fire Wardens as needed
