We are looking for a Technical Director with a drive for best-in-class game system development and a passion for technical excellence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technical leadership and is looking for an opportunity to be a leader in the development of an exciting new game project. This role will challenge you to quickly and comprehensively learn EA’s Frostbite game engine and core game systems, and then direct new technology and extensions to these systems.

As a strong candidate, you are not afraid to challenge technical ideas. You are open-minded to change and work efficiently. DICE finds it vitally important that you actively find ways to improve our products and studio. You will collaborate with creative and passionate team members within DICE Los Angeles and have fun doing so!

Skills desired:

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of C/C++
  • Shipped game titles, preferably with console experience
  • Flexibility and desire to direct a variety of game systems, including physics, streaming, rendering, file systems and memory organization
  • Experience managing a large code base with multiple simultaneous development branches
  • Expertise in concurrency, memory and performance optimization
  • Self-driven with a strong sense of quality
  • Great collaborative skills that support an open working environment
